Before I had the BFgoodrich comp TA VR4, and I think the 940's are better though even though the old VR4's had a wear on them (replaced my tires because one popped and I decided to replace all four) so I really can't compare old tires to new tires. But so far, the handling is alot better and I grip the road on sharp turns alot better too (I decided to test em out ;) ). If you have a costco's near you, you should go there...at tirerack, the BridgeStone potenza 940 all seasons are like 150 per tire plus shipping and installation, so you'd be paying like 700 with everything installed. All I paid was 118 per tire and an addition I got 50 bucks off from a coupon (expires july 1st) and they install it for free and you get lifetime tire repair, tire rotation and balancing for free. Well worth my money! oh by the way, I have the stock rims
